In the end, I think this helps because my eyes don't follow the page when scrolling. Then, I keep the cursor (mouse pointer) at that height on the page so my eyes know where to find what I'm reading after I move the mouse wheel. To keep my place when reading, I take note of where the bottom line lands on the screen (up) after one mouse wheel click. 3 mouse clicks is roughly one page scrolled. I think it's because my eyes follow the screen when scrolling smoothly.Īlso, I increased the mouse scroll value in Firefox to scroll pages faster. I use and to scroll websites with smooth scroll disabled to prevent eye strain.Įveryone is different but, for me, smooth scroll makes dizzy and causes bad eye strain. Hope you are fine and I'm just being pedantic! Or perhaps it could be that you may need reading glasses or corrective lenses to ease the strain on your eyes or something like that.Įither way, if it is a health related thing, then fixing it will help you with more than just gaming.Īnyway, sorry to ramble off on a hopefully unrelated topic but hey, I gave a shit about a random stranger on Reddit today so that's my good deed done for the day haha It might be a health problem, not a hardware problem. It could be something simple like the screen it's too bright or it could be a sign there is something more serious causing it. It mentions symptoms like dizziness and headaches from extended play and that it may cause seizures and trigger epilepsy etc.Īgain, I don't want to sound like a dick but, mate you might want to look into that and maybe visit a doctor about it. This is probably going to sound like I'm being a smart ass but you know when you first launch a game and before the studio logos and intro come on screen there is usually a warning message that pops up?
